FAQs FOR PRINTS FROM THIS WEBSITE

Where can I inquire about purchasing a print?

You can fill out the request form on our Contact page HERE.

What Type of Prints are Offered?

Printing method and paper are selected to best portray the particular image.
Prints of color images are either digital chromogenic prints on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper or they are pigment ink on Baryta paper. Black and white images are only printed with pigment ink on Baryta paper.

What Print Sizes and Editions are Generally Available?

(Most images will fit into these groups, although not all images are available in all sizes.)

Small prints typically 20 x 24 in. overall. Edition 10 + 2 Artist’s Proofs (Boxed Sets, if available, are #1-3 from the Edition of 10)
Medium prints typically 30 x 40 in. overall. Edition 7 + 1 Artist’s Proofs
Large prints typically 40 x 60 in. overall. Edition 5 + 1 Artist’s Proof

(Depending upon the image, one-off site-specific sizes may also be available.)

Is there a White Border Around the Image?

Small prints, generally 20 x 24 in. overall, are printed with an image size of 12 x 18 in. and are designed to be framed without mat. This format is only offered for boxed sets when they are available.

Individual small prints, generally 20x24 in. overall, are printed with an image size of roughly 23 x 15 1/3 in. This format is to be matted and framed and lends itself to a 20 x 30 in. frame, or, for an oversized mat, a 30 x 40 in. frame.

Medium and large prints are printed with a 2 ½ in. or larger border as part of the image. These sizes are meant to be framed without a cut mat, since the clean line of the white border provides the visual effect of a “mat”.

How are the images signed?

Unmounted images are unsigned. A signed certificate, that includes information about the location and photo and print dates, on archival paper, is supplied.

When Can I Expect Delivery?

Depending on the print and size, prints may be in stock or printed to order.
At least two weeks should be allowed for a new printing plus appropriate packing and shipping time...approximately 30 days.

How are Prints Packed and Shipped?

Unmounted prints are rolled and shipped in a cardboard tube via UPS or FedEx.
